• What products do you carry? Where can I see samples?
  • Larson Pool Plastering offers a wide array of products and services.

The color of your plaster is only limited by your imagination and budget. There are other types of aggregates available such as colored quartz, rock pebble or even a glass pebble. Blacks and grays are very popular color choices and are a deep blue when the pool is filled with water.

  • How soon can work begin on the project after I accept your bid?
  • Starting the job will depend on the time of year - spring through fall is our busiest time, but generally we are able to begin most jobs within 2 to 4 weeks after acceptance.

  • When can we fill our newly plastered pool with water?
  • The same day it's plastered. Larson Pool Plastering will place a hose at the bottom of the pool with a clean soft cloth wrapped around the end to diffuse the water entering the pool as soon as the plaster is sufficiently hardened. Depending on your water pressure it should be filled by the next day.

  • How soon after the pool is plastered is it usable?
  • The general rule is that you can swim in the pool as soon as the water clears and it is chemically balanced.

  • Do I have to replace my pool filtration equipment if my pool is being replastered?
  • No. However, with all the increases in electrical and natural gas prices, upgrading your pool filtration and heating equipment can save you money. If your equipment is rusting or if you had copper stains on your old plaster, you should consider purchasing new equipment.

  • Should I drain all the water from the pool during the winter months?
  • Pools should never be drained completely as the plaster must be kept underwater. Larson Pool Plastering's warranty specifies that the warranty will be void if the pool is left dry for 3 days or more. Check cracking and plaster flaking will likely occur if drained for an extended period.

  • Is Larson Pool Plastering licensed and insured?
  • Larson Pool Plastering is an active licensed plastering contractor in Utah and Oregon with an inactive license in California. We carry an aggregated liability amount of $2,000,000 - twice the required amount.

  • What is the largest job Larson Pool Plastering has ever completed?
  • The largest job Larson Pool Plastering has completed to date is the Playfair Aquatic Center in Missoula, MT. It consisted of a lazy river, slide splash down, a beach entrance children's pool and a lap pool. The total square footage was over 10,000 square feet (in comparison the average residential pool is 800 square feet). We have completed over a dozen such water parks for counties and cities in Utah, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and California.

  • Why do the costs of a pool or spa vary from state to state?
  • Weather, weather and weather! Each state has a different climate and a limited window of opportunity to finish the project.

  • If you have to travel to my pool, what does your travel costs include?
  • We charge an hourly rate for travel, daily subsistence for each employee, double occupancy hotel rooms and a flat mileage rate for each vehicle traveling.
